This Week's Events

We have several great events going on this week.



LuxSugar will be participating in the Cupcakes for a Cause Cancer Care for Kids Event which will take place via a bake sale at Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, NY this weekend. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Cancer Care for Kids. We will announce more details this week.





Also on Friday, 10.24.08:

LuxSugar will donate mini-cupcakes to another great event "The Choices for Change Benefit" sponsored by Midtown Community Court - a nonprofit organization in Times Square. The benefit will be hosted by Fox 5 Anchor, Rick Folbaum and will take place at a private lounge at 240 W. 52nd Street from 7:00p - 9:30p.
They will premiere a performance through the Women's Project featuring the voices of program participants and also will they will be holding a top-notch silent auction featuring donated items from the Marriott Marquis and Microsoft.

"Proceeds from the event will help support services for women at the Midtown Community Court. Women served by the Midtown Community Courtparticipate in onsite programs geared to help them escape lives ofprostitution, sexual violence and human trafficking. Celebrating itsfifteenth anniversary, the Midtown Community Court is a public-private entity which seeks to address quality-of-life crime in Manhattan byproviding alternatives to jail and building partnerships between thecourt and the community. The Midtown Community Court is a project of the Fund for the City of New York, a registered 501(c)(3) organization."

Tickets are $40 in advance/$50 at the door. Checks must be made payable to the Fund for the City of New York, a registered 501 (c)(3) organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Your contribution to the Fund for the City of New York will support programs for women at the Midtown Community Court.
